I got a chance to shoot this week. Mainly street photography. It amazes me how many times you can visit the same locations and get different images . These images were shot with a Canon T2i  using a 70-200 mm at f4 and a 12-24mm at f8 to f10.

I almost never take candid shots of people. So I still have a lot to learn. However, I decided to go to the Philadelphia Tattoo Convention and see if I could catch a couple shots of people in their element doing what they love. Although I don't have any tattoos, I find them fascinating and I am curious as to what motivates some of us to wear our expression. Here are a couple candid shots. I used the Canon T2i with a 70-200 mm f4 lens wide open. I had to kick the ISO (aka digital film speed) up to 800, then 1600 to get the shots. I touched up the shots in Photoshop to bring out the grittiness of the mood.

Here are a few shots I took of my cousin and her fiance just before they got engaged. These were shot using a beauty dish, a soft box and a reflector on a c-stand. I used a Canon 40D with a 28-200mm lens at f9-f11. Oh yea, I use Alien bees flash units and wireless remotes.

Here are a few Glamour Shots. The were shot using either a Canon 18-58 mm or a Canon 28-200 mm at about f9. The first two were shot using a beauty dish and a reflector for fill. The other two were shot using a reflective umbrella and a reflector on c-stand. All images were retouched. A small bit of graphic art was added to the last two shots to created interest.

Here are a few black and whites I've taken. All were shot with a Tokina 12-24 mm F4 lens. The Camera was one of my Canon EOS cameras with a 1.6 crop factor, either the T1i or T2i.
